IMG_1815Spent the shortest day of the year moving from yoga class, to farmers market to Chumash ceremony at Wright Organic Resource Center of Frank Lloyd Wright fame. Circles of people. Circles of sky. Cycles of movement. Stretching the body. Stretching the mind. Filling the body with good energy, good thoughts, good food. Here we go into the natural world, of which we are an integral part. Gathering at the prayer wheel, we ignited a fire, and each offered a stick and a prayer to bring in or burn out whatever we chose. For me, it was letting go of FEAR in all aspects of my life.

Making some noise to let Spirit know we are here, we chanted, drummed, hooped and hollered to the setting orange sun. Then ended by symbolically pulling that sacred sun back from the sky to bring us light, love, LIFE.

A note of gratitude to Eric and Mary Wright as stewards of this sacred ground.

Aho. Let it be so.
